Huo Linglong, the eldest young lady of Linglong Manor, disguises herself as a man and arrives at an inn, where she witnesses a clash between the Tang Sect and Shengyun Manor. During the chaos, Linglong unexpectedly rescues a mute boy who had been traveling with Shengyun Manor’s Third Chief. Later, she encounters a mysterious man in black named Zhan Rifei. Using the alias Huo Xiaodi, she hides her true identity, but both of them sense that the other is not who they claim to be.
